Position-Aware Dashcam Streaming Demo at MEC Tech-F2F#9 meeting

Edoardo Bonetto and Daniele Brevi represented the ENVELOPE Project at the MEC Tech-F2F#9 meeting, where they shared recent progress on edge computing technologies developed within the project.
Daniele Brevi opened the session with an introduction to ENVELOPE, outlining the project’s main goals and areas of focus, including the integration of advanced network architectures and edge computing to support connected and automated mobility.
Edoardo Bonetto followed with a technical presentation and live demo of a joint implementation by Fondazione LINKS and Nextworks S.r.l. The demo, titled “Position Aware Dashcam Video Streaming with Zero-Touch Real-Time MEC App Handover”, demonstrated a seamless, location-based video streaming handover between Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) applications in real-time. The presentation also included a comparison between the current implementation and ETSI MEC specifications, highlighting the alignment and practical relevance of ENVELOPE’s work within established standards.
This participation reflects ENVELOPE’s continued contribution to real-world testing and validation of edge-enabled solutions for future mobility systems.
