ENVELOPE Project to Showcase Innovations at DSC 2024
The ENVELOPE Project will be prominently featured at the upcoming Driving Simulation Conference (DSC) 2024 in Strasbourg from 18-10 September. On Thursday, 19 September at 09:30, Abdelsalam Mohamed and Alexandru Forrai from Siemens will present their paper titled “A Design Methodology for Compositional Simulation: The Digital-Twin Interconnect Framework.” This presentation will highlight innovative methodologies in compositional simulation and the integration of digital twins, showcasing ENVELOPE’s cutting-edge contributions to the field of driving simulation.
The Driving Simulation Conference (DSC) 2024 gathers specialists from both industrial and academic communities, as well as commercial simulation providers. This 23rd edition will be held in a hybrid format, accommodating more than 300 participants and over 40 professional exhibitors.
With around 80 speakers delivering scientific and industrial product solution sessions, keynotes, tutorials, and round tables, attendees will gain insights into the latest trends in eXtended Reality in the Loop (XIL) simulations. Topics will include Model in the Loop (MIL), Software in the Loop (SIL), Hardware in the Loop (HIL), Driver in the Loop (DIL), Vehicle in the Loop (VIL), and Cloud in the Loop (CIL). The conference will also cover XR simulation for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), automotive Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design, motion sickness and rendering, and connected and autonomous vehicle verification and validation.
Key themes include advancements in driving simulation technology, research developments, and emerging virtual and augmented reality applications. This year’s program will feature a special session on virtual validation and certification tools for autonomous and connected vehicles and ADAS applications, while maintaining a focus on human factors and motion rendering.
Organized by the Driving Simulation Association in cooperation with Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology and Gustave Eiffel University, DSC 2024 is an essential event for professionals in the field. It provides a platform for exploring the latest advancements, exchanging ideas, and collaborating on innovative solutions.
