ENVELOPE Presented Technical Paper at IEEE CITDS 2024 in Debrecen

The ENVELOPE Project was presented at the 2024 IEEE 3rd Conference on Information Technology and Data Science (CITDS 2024), held in Debrecen, Hungary, from 26 to 28 August 2024 in a hybrid format.
At the conference, Alexandru Forrai (Siemens Digital Industries Software), Amit Gali, and Ion Barosan (University of Debrecen) presented their paper titled “Application of Digital Twins for Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility.” The paper examined how digital twins (DTs) could support the development and operation of connected and automated vehicles.
The study described three main use cases: remote monitoring of vehicles, mixed reality testing, and the safe control of vehicles during emergency maneuvers. It also introduced the design of an experimental test environment developed to implement and evaluate these scenarios. Preliminary results from the software implementation were shared, providing evidence of the approach’s potential.
This contribution reflected ENVELOPE’s commitment to advancing practical tools for improving the safety and performance of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) systems.
