ENVELOPE Featured at SNS ICE / GUIDE Webinar on Automotive, Transport & Logistics Solutions
On 20 November 2024, Konstantinos V. Katsaros, ENVELOPE Project Coordinator, took part in the SNS ICE / GUIDE: Automotive, Transport & Logistics Solutions webinar, where he presented an overview of the project and its contributions to the future of Connected and Automated Mobility (CAM).
The webinar brought together experts from EU-funded projects under the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) to discuss ongoing research, challenges, and deployment efforts in CAM. The discussion focused on how 5G, beyond-5G (B5G), and emerging 6G technologies can support the rollout of CAM services, especially across Pan-European Transport Corridors.
Konstantinos outlined ENVELOPE’s role in this evolving landscape, highlighting how the project is developing and testing network and edge computing solutions designed to meet the specific needs of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility. His presentation emphasized ENVELOPE’s contributions to ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability in future mobility systems.
The webinar served as a valuable platform to showcase ENVELOPE’s progress, share insights with fellow projects, and explore future opportunities for collaboration and real-world deployment.
