ENVELOPE at DATAMITE Meetup Event

On 6 February 2025, the ENVELOPE Project was featured at the DATAMITE Meet-Up, hosted by OTE Group of Companies (HTO) in Athens, Greece. The event, organised by the DATAMITE Project, focused on the theme “Bridging Research and Industry in EU-funded Innovation” and brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers working at the intersection of technology and data-driven innovation.

Georgios Drainakis, representing the ENVELOPE coordinating team from I-SENSE Group / ICCS, presented the project’s goals and progress in a session dedicated to data-driven transformation across industries. He introduced ENVELOPE’s work on enabling connected and automated mobility (CAM) through flexible and open network architectures designed to support services beyond 5G. The presentation focused on how ENVELOPE’s solutions align with Europe’s broader strategy to use advanced digital technologies—like edge computing and predictive Quality of Service—to shape the future of transportation.

The event featured five panel discussions covering topics such as data marketplaces, healthcare data use, monetisation strategies, sector-specific innovation, and privacy in the age of data. The ENVELOPE Project’s participation contributed to the ongoing dialogue on how advanced connectivity and data technologies can transform mobility, aligning with key priorities in EU-funded innovation.
