ENVELOPE at 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit

The ENVELOPE Project made a significant impact at the recently concluded 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit, held from 4-6 June 2024. This prestigious event, which merges the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC) with the 6G Summit, brought together over 900 delegates from more than 40 countries. Supported by the European Commission and originating from Finland’s 6G Flagship programme, the summit is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP), and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP). The summit focused on a broad spectrum of telecommunications topics, from 5G and mobile IoT to 6G advancements and future communication systems, featuring an exhibition with over 50 exhibitors showcasing the latest technologies.

During the event, ENVELOPE was featured prominently in various sessions. On 4 June, Pavlos Basaras from ICCS presented in a special session titled “From 5G to 6G Support for CAM (5G6GCAM)”. His talk, “Advancing and Opening Up the Reference 5G-Advanced Architecture for the Automotive Sector,” highlighted the latest developments within SNS Phase 2 projects and the anticipated advancements towards 6G.

The following day, ENVELOPE also presented a paper during the “NET3 – AI-native 6G Networks and Their Digital Twins” session. The paper, “A Proof of Concept Implementation of an AI-Assisted User-Centric 6G Network,” was delivered at 12:25 PM and discussed innovative approaches to integrating AI into 6G network designs.

Additionally, ENVELOPE maintained an active presence at the exhibition area with a dedicated poster booth. Attendees had the opportunity to explore the project’s latest advancements and interact with the team at Booth No 70.

The event also saw the release of the SNS Journal 2024, which features a special focus on ENVELOPE, available at the EC Stand.
